17th June – Manufacturing for the Future, the Marand Geelong Story With a Blue Chip customer base, Marand designs and manufactures complex innovative equipment, supplying precision engineered solutions globally. Tour the plant where Marand manufacture the Joint Strike Fighter F-35 engine installation and removal trailer and the F-35 Vertical Tail assembly. See and hear how Marand:

  • Creates value for their customers, developing strong relationships, solving problems and consistently innovating on behalf of the customer
  • Develops a technology strategy to regenerate existing equipment, optimise available resources and capitalise on emerging technologies
  • Utilises Lean methodologies to ensure efficient operations and skill transfer

25th June Emotional Intelligence; what every Leader needs to know. A GMC Leadership Alumni Event with Craig Biddiscombe.

26th June – 2015 Innovation Expo

Geelong Manufacturing Council through the Industry Innovation Program is proud to announce Geelong’s 3rd Innovation Expo, scheduled for Friday, June 26th at The Pier.

The Innovation Expo is supported by the Victorian Government and is the leading event of the year for innovation in Geelong.  Evidence shows that companies who are innovative are 2.5 x more likely to increase productivity.

The Expo is a must for companies as part of the innovation development.

The Expo will be Officially Opened by the Victorian Minister for Industry Hon. Lily D’Ambrosio, and feature high quality presenters from industry and Deakin University.   Additionally there will also be interactive technology displays and a panel discussion on Future Themes for Technology and Manufacturing.

The Expo commences at 8.45 a.m. (for a 9.00 a.m. start) and concludes at 12.30 p.m. on Friday, June 26th at The Pier, Geelong.  Tickets are free. Registration is required.

Luncheon:  This years Expo will feature an additional event – a Keynote Lunch from 12.40 p.m. to 2.00 p.m.  The keynote speaker will be Leonie Walsh, Lead Scientist Victoria.  Join us for a two course lunch on The Pier.

Cost for luncheon: $30.00 per attendee (non-member)
Free to GMC/ENG members (limit two per company)
