Grant Announcements – Victorian Government

Today (December 7, 2015), the Premier has announced details of the $7.5m election commitment by the Andrews Government, which is an additional commitment to the GRIIF.

Also announced is a $5m Automotive Supply Chain Transition Program and investment in skills across the TAFE network.

These form part of the Labor Government’s $46.5 million worth of programs to help: automotive businesses transition to new markets; workers to retrain and find sustainable jobs; and, attract investment into communities impacted by the closure of car manufacturing.

The Local Economic Industry Fund for Transition (LIFT) has today opened for applications.

There is a two-stage application process:

  • Expression of interest (EOI), followed by
  • An invitation by the Department to submit a formal application.

As with the GRIIF, GMC is keen to see as many members as possible access funding and encourage you to consider how these programs may help your business.
