GMC welcomed members & guests last night to the 2017 Annual General Meeting at The Pier, to celebrate the year’s achievements and look forward to 2018. Guest speaker on the evening was Mark Brennan, Director Technical & Engineering – Hawkei Land & Air Systems/Protected Mobility from Thales Australia. Mark presented the history and progress of the $1.3b Hawkei PMV program. The vehicle was designed and is being built at Thales’ Bendigo facility.
Chairman, Jamie Baensch congratulated members and the GMC team on a successful 2016/17 and outlined future focus areas for the GMC to continue to strengthen the manufacturing sector and the region as a whole.
David Peart, CEO briefed the meeting on GMC’s portfolio of programs and initiatives, which once again achieved significant results for members. Two participating organisations from one of these programs, Leadership for Manufacturing Excellence, presented their outstanding results on the evening.
The GMC Board was re-elected for the upcoming term, with 2017/18 Directors being:
