The innovative approach of FormFlow was again highlighted when the business was named winner of the Innovation, Research & Development award at the 2021 Geelong Business Excellence Awards.
FormFlow’s world-first technology allows corrugated sheets to be bent at right angles, dispensing with the need for seams in wall and roofing joins. But they didn’t stop with new technology. To complement this new bending method, FormFlow have developed new building systems and products to address housing affordability, accessibility and sustainability.
The growing business utilises unique building systems and materials to address current issues. Collaborating with Deakin University, FormFlow developed an Australian-first foldable emergency shelter that can be transported on the back of a truck or behind a car and deployed onsite in an hour. Recently, FormFlow completed the design and construction of sustainable medium-term accommodation units for Samaritan House, increasing the non-profit’s capacity by 50%.
FormFlow continue to collaborate widely to expand production nationally and internationally, partnering with the likes of BlueScope Steel and Lysaght.
The 2021 GBEA Innovation, Research & Development category was sponsored by Viva Energy.
