Last week we celebrated the bright minds and enthusiasm of the next crop of manufacturing superstars who graduated from GMC’s school manufacturing programs.
In 2024, GMC supported 51 students from 15 local schools through:
- Geelong Future Leaders of Industry
- World of Work – Clean Economy
- Girls Leading Advanced Manufacturing
- SEED2Stem: Girls Leading Advanced Manufacturing
The year-long programs provided students with a taste of real-world manufacturing and engineering as they visited local industry, getting hands on experience with some of our region’s leading manufacturers.
A huge thank you to the many GMC members who opened their businesses for more than 40 site tours as part of the programs.
We’re thrilled to say the students now see the many career opportunities available to them in manufacturing.
